The 5 Love Languages is a theory invented by Gary Chapman. It assumes that there are five basic ways to show love to another person, and that each of us has one dominant one. When two people in a relationship use different love languages, it leads to hurt and misunderstandings. It’s because of this that we often feel pushed away, despite our attempts to make our partner happy, or we don’t recognize their efforts and feel unloved. The only way to avoid this is to recognize your own language and the language of your loved one and learn to show love in a way that the other can understand. The film Love Languages aims to introduce this theory.
